Editorial Policy

Here at The Fashion Outsider, we take our words very seriously, unless they’re funny words, then we usually laugh. Since there are lots of words on our website, we’ve listed our Editorial Policies, Practices and Standards below. Enjoy.

Endorsements

We like stuff, and sometimes we like stuff so much we think we should tell other people so they can like it too. Every product we comment on, good or bad, was our choosing and we will never accept any compensation, financial or other, to give a product, brand, or organization a positive review or editorial coverage. We have used and like (or in some instances love) every beauty product  we endorse on this website. This claim however does not extend to fashion items; as in clothing, accessories, shoes, hand bags etc. We would have some major credit issues if we bought every fashion item we fell in love with. We will however never accept compensation to offer a fashion brand or item an endorsement. If we say we love it, we love it. I think we can move on here.

Advertising

The Fashion Outsider is an advertising free website. Should this ever change, it would be considered a change to our policies and we would notify you. We would probably discuss this one with you first though, so you wouldn’t be caught off guard if things changed.

Links

We respect other artists very much and want to share the best out there with you. Every photograph and word on this website that is not our own is properly credited. We also link fashion items to a site they can be purchased from or to a website where you can gain more information. We don’t receive any compensation or commission for these links. We put them there out of the goodness of our hearts. If one of these links is broken, please let us know, so we can fix it right away and give credit where credit is due. Also, if you like what we do so much that you want to tell other people about something we’ve done, that would be pretty sweet, just put a link back to us please. Thanks.
