Iconic eyewear label Ray Ban has officially been around for 75 years!
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the brand is releasing a special campaign called “Never Hide” featuring real life events over eight decades. Photographer Mark Seliger was called on to direct the campaign which highlights “true stories of men and women from history who went up against convention”, stated Fashionism.ca.
From lieutenant Raymond Swalley, a pilot from the ”Blue Devils” squadron, to Judi Cohen wearing a mini skirt before it was socially acceptable, the campaign takes important events over the years and depicts the progression in society and in style.
Everyone probably owns a pair of Ray Bans (or lusts for a pair), which shows the large demographic the label appeals to. From Aviators to the ever so popular Wayfarers, the brand continues to produce fashion forward styles, yet stay true to their timeless aesthetic.
